As at now, Skype does not run on any symbian operating systems. All Nokia phones are powered by the symbian OS. This includes your Nokia X300 as well. It is not therefore possible for you to install  Skype on your phone, unless a new version is developed for this phones. If you really want to use Skype on your phone, consider acquiring an android or IOS phone.

Blackberries also have a few issues with the Skype, though they might work.

The Nokia X3-00 is also known as Nokia X3. The Nokia X3 is a 2G Smartphone operating on 2G network band using GSM technology. It was announced to the public on September 2009 and released on December 2009. This is a discontinued model. It measures 96 x 49.3 x 14.1 millimeters and weighs 103 grams. It uses mini-SIM card.

It has TFT display with 256K colors at 240 x 320 pixels screen resolution. It supports microSD expandable up to 16 GB. It supports 2,000 phonebook entries with Photocall support and 46 MB internal storage. The primary camera supports 3.2 megapixels with enhanced fixed focus support. The primary camera can record video in QCIF at 15 fps. It doesn’t have a secondary camera.

It has 3.5-millimeter jack with Dedicated music keys support; Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support; stereo FM radio with RDS and built-in antenna support; and microUSB. GPS is not supported. The pre-installed web browser supports WAP 2.0/xHTML and HTML with Adobe Flash Lite support. It supports Java via MIDP 2.1.

It runs on removable BL-4CT Li-Ion 860 mAh battery with standby time up to 380 hours and talk time up to 7 hours 30 minutes. It is available in Blue on Silver and Red on Black colors. Unfortunately, even if you manage to download and install Skype on your phone, you still won’t be able to sign in with your Skype account because Skype for Symbian has now been permanently retired.

You can still use Skype and stay in touch with your friends using the Android version.
