I have a 500 GB portable Hard Drive with 4 partitions on it. Now I want to hide a partition but I do not want to use Partition Magic for this. Is there any other option to do that most preferably without using any third party software?

This is the answer to your question. This is the simplest way to hide and unhide your disk drive partitions on your computer. This will work in any version of Windows but not with an OS that does not support NTFS.
To hide partition:
You need to right-click on MY COMPUTER and select MANAGE.
From the lists, click on DISK MANAGEMENT.
Now all your hard disk and partitions are shown on the right side. Simply right-click on the partition that you want to hide from your Computer list and then choose CHANGE DRIVE LETTERS AND PATH
Click on REMOVE and hit YES.
Now that partition will be hidden in MY COMPUTER.
To unhide the partition:
Do the same thing. But you must know that the hidden partition does not have any drive letter on it.
Just select UNHIDE.
