As the title says, I have a laptop on Mac, a Macbook if you will connected at internet through a router. The thing I need to do, is change my IP address without rebooting the modem. And the problem is, I don't exactly know hot it works. So if you guys ever did this, or have any information related to this, can you please explain to me, step by step, how to get new IP on Mac without rebooting is possible? I am not a computer expert so go easy on me please.

Please follow this steps to get a new IP on mac

First Go to system preferences and then complete the following steps System preferences-

1 > Network control panel

2 > TCP/IP->configure button(At the bottom of the dialog box)

3 > Configure IP4 or IP6

4 > Type in new IP address

5 > Save

Then simply place the address that you have from your service provider.
