Hi Jhapan02,

First thing you need to check with doing network sharing with computer using different operating systems is that they should belong to the same workgroup.

To change and find out their workgroup name, please follow the steps below:

·         On Windows XP, go to Start > Right click My Computer > Click on Properties. Under System Properties, click on Computer Name. To change the computer name, just click on change and update the name > click Ok.

·         On Windows Vista and 7, go to Start > Control Panel > System and Maintenance > System. To change the workgroup name, click on Change Settings under Computer Name, Domain and Workgroup settings then go to Computer name tab then Change.

You then need to make sure that the Network location type depending on the type of network connection you like.

You need to also open ports on the computer to enable file and printer sharing. On Windows Vista, you need to open port UDP 3702, TCP 5357 and TCP 5358. On other Windows operating systems, open UDP 137, UDP 138 and TCP 139.
