How to fix avast Plugin unspecified error?

Hi guys,

I have a little bit of  problem i hope one of you can help me solved this problem because as i opened the MS Outlook 2007 this morning and checked for my mails.

I got this error from avast! plugin saying:

 

Error

avast! Cannot scan the message body,

Error code is 80004005.

Unspecified error

 

Any suggestions guys for this issue?

How to fix avast Plugin unspecified error?

Good day Maryjanelim, what version of avast are you using? Are you using Outlook in Internet Mail or Exchange Server mode? And if ES, do you use offline folders (folder caching)? Are you using a firewall? Maybe it's just because you haven't enabled the new ashMaiSv.exe to access the Internet (in your firewall configuration).a previous version of avast was confirmed to have a bug, one of which was the avast  5.1.864 version.

Try reinstalling the program and/or updating it to the latest version of avast. Then, we will be able to see what   the reason is to this problem and how can we approach it to be able to solve the problem. If the Problem remains the same, it might be a bug in the program. If you have already upgraded it to the latest version and the problem is still there, it is best to try the previous version of it and if you are using the old version of avast try updating it, well, you get my point, right?

How to fix avast Plugin unspecified error?

Do you have only avast in your computer? Any anti-various before avast? First try to repair your installation. Just find the Control Panel, go to the add/remove programs and remove the avast antivirus. To repair it you have to find the repair function. If the problem remains do this process again. Another solution is to check if there is any corrupted drive. If there is this will cause the error.
