Is there any way to extract exe files to a text files. I know the files are kind of embedded in the exe files and I need those text files in the exe files. Does win rar work?

Don't worry about your probs. Here your friend come to solve your problem.
Sometimes many file are being corrupted during download or sometimes because of virus problem it need to convert exe file to txt file safer use. In order for conversion the file first you need to zip/rar it.
Then choose folder option form tool menu and then choose view and uncheck the dialogue box that saying that about hiding extension for known type. Where the file will show as exe or txt file and press function button 2 and change exe to txt .
I think after that you can successfully conversion your file to txt for various in need
