Wi-Fi Direct is a personal, portable Wi-Fi that goes with you any where and any time. The nonprofit Wi-Fi Alliance is now certifying products as Wi-Fi Certified Wi-Fi Direct. Alliance members include Apple, Cisco, Intel, and other major tech vendors. How do we know a device has Wi-Fi Direct capability?

You will be able to distinguish if a device has Wi-Fi direct capability by inspecting the device if it has the Wi-Fi certified name and logo displayed on the product. Wi-Fi logo can only be obtain if the company is a member of Wi-Fi Alliance. Wi-Fi Alliance has a testing course and requirements for each products and these  devices are required to  under-go the course.

All the products with Wi-Fi Certified Logo have passed the laboratory examination and meet  all the standard  requirements. Some of the features Wi-Fi direct devices have are security, support video call, games and multimedia and many more.
