This behavior occurs from windows computer when having system problem and this is default configuration on windows 7. You can disable this configuration by following this instruction.

  1. Click Start then type to the search box “System”.
  2. Choose system under control panel group.
  3. Click Advanced system setting
  4. Then click “Settings Button” From the Startup and Recovery.
  5. Then uncheck the textbox automatically restart under system failure.
  6. Then click the OK button in the Start up recovery windows and OK button also in System Properties windows.
  7. After doing this, if you encounter system error, windows will not restart automatically, you will have to reboot you computer manually. Hope this help.

Hallo Vivian,

You will need to follow the procedure below to disable automatic restart.

  • First you will open Control Panel and then go to System and Security.
  • Under System and Security, you will need to click on System link.
  • And then in system information, on the left side you will click on the “Advanced System Settings” link.
  • After that go to the advanced system settings window and then click on the startup and recovery options.
  • And then click on the settings button for startup and recovery.
  • After that uncheck the box against “Automatically Restart” and the click OK.
  • Close the control panel.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Carl
