Hello fellow Techyv members. I'm trying to run a 16 bit software using DOSBox. Do I have to capture any LPT port for printing? How do I configure DOSBox printer LPT in Windows? I'm on a Windows XP 64 bit system. Thanks in advance for the help guys.
How do I configure DOSBox printer LPT in Windows 64 bit?
Hi Donna,
Since you are using a 16-bit software for printing in a 64-bit system, you do have to engage an LPT port to do so and it order to capture LPT port, you need to use the following settings in ‘DOSBox.conf’ –
-
printer=true
-
dpi=360
-
width=85
-
height=110
-
##printoutput=png
-
printoutput=printer
-
multipage=false
-
docpath=.
-
timeout=0
-
##parallel1=disabled
-
parallel1=reallpt realport:\computer nameprinter share name
-
parallel2=disabled
-
parallel3-disabled
This will work.
