How do I clear my Internet browser history?

As you browse the Internet, each of the items you view are saved locally on your hard disk drive. This helps web pages you visit frequently load faster by loading the files from you hard disk drive instead of having to downloading the web page again.

How do I clear my Internet browser history?

If you have internet explorer 7, go to Tools then select Internet Options then under Browsing History there should be a button labeled Delete. Click on it, this should take care of the temporary files saved under your browsing history.

If you have Internet Explorer 8, check the upper right part of the browser window and look for the Safety menu then click Delete Browsing History. Do not select Preserve Favorites website data and choose Temporary Internet files, Cookies and History. Hit Delete. If you have Internet Explorer 6, click on Tools choose Internet Options. Hit Delete Files or just Delete.

Hi Kanck,

You want to erase the internet explorer history, which you can do through the following easy to do steps.

• Right click on internet explorer and select properties.
• select the history tab and click on the button delete the history.
• Click on yes to ensure that you acknowledge that you are going to delete the temporary history files you are done.

How do I clear my Internet browser history?

Yes, this is true. All webpages you have visited are saved in your computer's Internet Explorer hard drive. These are called cache files, cookies, forms data or simple a bit of information to remember website you previously visited for faster browsing.

However, if the web browser saved too much cached files, it will definitely slow down the Internet browsing. So, deleting those bits of information is needed to get the Internet browsing back more faster.

Go to Tools, Internet Options
Click on the Delete button
Check all the boxes, cached, forms data, password, history and cookies
If all boxes are check, you may click on the Delete all button
These clear all the browsing history

Another step is to open your Browser
Go to Safety in the upper right
Then click on Browsing History
This will let you delete all history

A short way to delete browsing history is to press the Ctrl + Shift + Delete button. This clear all browsing history.

For Mozilla Firefox users

Viewing History – Press Ctrl + H to open the left-side history bar.

Or

Click History at the top of the window.

Or

Users using earlier versions of Mozilla Firefox can also view their history by clicking "Go" and clicking "History."

 

Deleting History – Press CTRL + Shift + DEL to open the Clear All History window.

Or

Mozilla Firefox users can clear their history by clicking the "Tools" menu, "Options", clicking the "Privacy" button, and under "History" click the "Clear" or "Clear Now" button.

 

If you don't see the File, Edit, View menu press the Alt key.

 

Google Chrome users

Click on the "wrench" icon [ ], which is located near the top-right side of the browser window and then click History.

 

Deleting History – Press CTRL + Shift + DEL to open the Clear Browsing Data Window.

2. Move your mouse over Tools, then select Clear browsing data.

3. Select the amount of time you want to go back to delete in your history. You can choose from the past hour, the past day, the past week, the last four weeks, and the beginning of time.

4. Select the types of history you would like to delete. You can choose as many as you like from this list: Clear browsing history, Clear download history, Empty the cache, Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data, Clear saved passwords, and Clear saved Autofill form data.

5. Click the Clear browsing data button. This will clear the selected types of Internet history for the chosen time period.
