How to create imagine sd mac files?

For all Techyv members, I hope everything is fine. Please help me how to  create imagine SD Mac files properly. I gather that there is a step by step process for this? 

Please kindly explain this part to me.

I would also like to know which software to download and install to make this work.

How to create imagine sd mac files?

The steps below outline making a back-up copy of your SD card, while retaining the integrity and structure of the footage or images on the SD card.

Insert the SD card into the card receiver, it shall pop up on the finder on a Mac

Open the Application folder, locate the utilities folder and open disk utility.

 

Select your SD card and click on New image

 

Name your backup-give a name that makes sense, designate a place to save it and click Save.

 

Let disk utility run. The finished disk image shall appear on the desktop. The backup of your SD card has been made successfully.

 

The disk image can now be accessed like the original SD card, just click on the disk image and your card will be mounted on the desktop.
