Hello!

I have this PowerPoint presentation file sent to me that I wanted to convert into a word document so I can use it as a reviewer, but I have no idea on how to do it. Could you please help me with a step-by-step explanation of how to do it?

Try the following steps:

Step 1: Save the PowerPoint Outline in Word 2007/2010.

  • Launch your PPT Presentation.
  • In the Outline of the PowerPoint section, you can see all the text contents but not the text under the Text Box.
  • Click the Office button and then Save As. Then select Outline/RTF from the list of Save as type.
  • When you look at the output file in Word, you can see all the text contents.

Step 2: Send the PPT to Word.

  • Launch the PPT Presentation.
  • Choose File then Save & Send. Choose Create Handouts and then Create Handouts again.
  • This will launch the Send to Microsoft Word window. You can see options like Notes to Slides, Blank lines next to slides and more. It will reproduce the slide in MS Word except for the Outline only option.

Then, convert PPT 2007 to Word. (steps may vary depending on the version of MS Word)

  • Launch the PPT Presentation.
  • Click the Office button then go to Publish and Create Handouts in Microsoft Word.

Step 3: Save your PPT as PDF. Use the option Save as Text in PDF to get all the texts from your PPT.
