How can I connect to a remote computer and work on that computer to fix any problem.

Hi,

 
You can do this actually if you are connected to the internet and your remote computer is also connected to the internet. 
The requirement here is the internet connection and the software. I suggest to use Logmein, this software can really 
control your remote computer, this is IP to IP connection, this include using the remote computer mouse pointer so anytime 
you can fix your computer at home even if you are in the office, you can also view your downloads if it's done 
or not. This software can also use if you want to spy your employee in the office or your wife, because they don't even 
know that you are watching their application.
 
This software are also used by the call center for their remote maintenance. IT support normally used this so that they don't go to the site anymore.

Hi

actually there are many ways to do that:

1- If machine is running windows xp or higher, it support's a remote desktop connection through internet or local network

2-  You can also use a third party software to do the remote process like mikogo,teamviewer,logme in ,goto mypc….etc

3- If the machine is running any unix based system (unix,linux) you can use any telnet or ssh client (  putty , secure crt )

It's a simple question and the quick answer is install TeamViewer software to the remote computer and your computer as well. Then it required only User ID and Password. By this TeamViewer software you can fix remote computer as well as copy information or anything. 

First, ask to send the remote computer's TeamViewer User ID and Password through phone or SMS then put it into your computer and access the remote computer. You may need better Internet connection to work remotely.

I have attached a screen shot which would help you to view the TeamViewer software looks.

First, you need to know the IP address of the computer you want to connect to. The only sure way to  be able to connect to your PC’s is to use an ISP that provides you with a static IP address. Most ISPs give customers dynamic IP addresses, which can change every few days or even hours. Because your IP address is the way you’ll locate your computer on the net, you’ll need to know what your IP address is you can ask you isp to help with this

Now that you know your IP address, you need to make sure that Remote Desktop Connection is enabled. Make sure your firewall is configured to allow incoming connections  Then you turn on Remote Desktop Connection in the System Control Panel you can do this by go to the start option then click on the Control Panel, System make sure to  Check the Remote tab  to  Allow users to connect remotely to this compute this option must be checked then You’ll have  one user account that requires a password for your security reasons.to log in you need to open the Remote Desktop Connection client on your remote PC.to do this to do this go  to Start, Programs, Accessories, Communications, Remote Desktop Connection. Input the IP address you want to connect to Then enter your username and password. Then click on the connect option and your in good luck
