How come my Dell webcam central does not work anymore?

How come my Dell webcam central does not work anymore? When I try to use my webcam central it says please plug in a supported webcam. This happened after I upgraded my OS from Windows Vista to Windows 7.

How come my Dell webcam central does not work anymore?

Hi

This problem rises due to hardware failure. You need to check the port of webcam. The port provides connection between your computer and webcam. In case of laptop you need to see this on motherboard. The second reason could be web cam crashed and you need to replace you webcam.

Hi Janneya,

            You mentioned that it was started when you upgrade your OS from vista to windows 7. Try to check if you already install the driver of the webcam.

Follow below instruction:

1. click start
2. right click on “My Computer”
3. Properties
4. select “Hardware” and click  “Device manager”
5. Check if your webcam was already in the list of installed hardware.
6. If none. Check if there’s yellow question mark named “Other device” possible that this is your webcam. and not yet installed.
7. Try to install this hardware using your driver cd, or download it from dell website.
8. Install the correct driver and try again your webcam.
