Is there a way that I can view my databases while at work or through the internet? I am running a Filemaker 9.0 V3 and i want my databases to be viewable wherever I am and to my mobile phone. But it needs to have a security so that no one can access it without my permission.Â

What I understand from your message is that you already have a database which you are using now. You can view it from your networking area but when you are outside your network, you can't view it. Please read the following information which will be helpful for you.
1) You likely have an IP address that can remain the same for a year, or a month, or a week.
2) You can discover this IP address at:
3) This is the IP address of the box that connects you to the Internet – Cable Modem, DSL Modem or Cable/DSL Router.
4) A modem has one computer attached to it.
5) A router has one or more computers attached to it.
6) You need to forward requests for your database to the computer that is running it:
7) To reliably view the database from outside your network, you need a static IP address. You can pay Comcast or Verizon or Qwest more money each month for a static IP address.
8) If you do not pay for static IP address, there are free services that will direct requests to your systems.

Thanks for your information. As you are using Apple iPhone, you have to purchase a Data Manager Software 1.3 version which is dedicated as a database software for iPhone. Without this software, you won't be able to view your database on your phone.

You have already setup a database on your computer. I think there is something you have missed while installing your database software. I would request you to uninstall your software and install it again.
Do follow the mentioned installation process:
1) Launch FileMaker Pro and open the database file you want to view on the web.
2) Pull down the file menu and select "Sharing -> Instant Web Publishing".
3) Turn on Instant Web Publishing and write down the IP address (you'll need this later).
4) Click the "Specify" button for Advanced options and set the TCP/IP port number to 591 (this is reserved for FileMaker Pro). Click OK.
5) Under currently open files, select the file, and then select the radio button for "Specify users by privilege set". Specify the privilege set you have set up for accessing this file. If you don't have one set up yet, then select the option for "All users". Click OK.
6) Now, go to another machine, open up your browser and enter:
http://<IP Address from above>:591
For example, if your IP Address is 10.10.10.10, you would enter:
https://whatismyipaddress.com
You will now be able to access your file via a browser.
