I received a prf file on my email.  When I double-clicked it, Outlook pops out with the error "Pics rule file".  How do I open pics rule file extension on Windows 7?

How can I open pics rule file extension?

You are facing this problem because you may be using Internet explorer or later.  This problem occurs  in Internet Explorer 7 and in later versions, The best solution for this problem is to download "Hot Fix" from the URL given below

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/934716

At the top of the page you'll see the green link "Hot Fix Download available"

simply download it and install it. After installing you have to restart your computer and hopefully the problem will be solved.
