Hi. The steps to edit local policy windows 7 are as follows-
1) Open the Microsoft management console by clicking on start>type mmc>Enter
2) After the window opens, click on File menu and select add/remove snap-in
3) In the add/remove snap-ins dialogue box, select group policy object editor and click on add
4) Click on browse in the select group policy object dialogue box
5) To edit the administrator or non-administrator, click on browse option
6) Select finish option
The local group policy editor can be opened by using the Microsoft management console with the help of a command-line by clicking on start>typing gpedit.msc in search box>enter
