I have seen in some word documents some pictures or texts are appearing in the background in a light color. It does not interrupt the main contains of the documents. I do not know what it is. Can anyone tell me what it is and how to add or remove it?

I believe that you are talking about watermark option which is available in Microsoft word. I will take an example as follows in order to explain that. Please try to follow the below steps.

First open the document that you want to add a watermark. Then click on the page Layout tab and click on the watermark which is in the page background section.

Watermark in word

Now you can select either the available water mark in the each category or you can create own watermark.

If you want to add an available watermark, select it and click on it. I will add “confidential”.

Watermark

Otherwise you can create your own watermark by clicking “custom watermark”.
