Hello!

Gadgets are very useful specially, when we keep them on our desktop.  It means they are on our first priority. But sometimes it happens that as soon as we open our computer we are depressed by not finding them on the desktop, it may be due to the many reasons but to solve this issue try the option below.

Go to Start, and then select Control Panel. Go to Programs and Features then turn Windows Features ON or OFF, you must uncheck Windows Gadget Platform, and then click the OK button. The computer must be restarted and let if finish the process. Return there and then verify, then add your gadgets to the desktop. Restart the computer again in order to verify if the problem still persists.

Thanks.

Gadgets are applications. You store it in your located folder. Even If you remove it from your desktop, still it should be there where you kept it. But sometimes gadgets are problematic.  If you use default gadgets, then you should find it in the " control panel" Go to Control Panel and then go to desktop gadgets. You can use it again.

If you do not find  it now, then you have to re install windows 7 . This will help you to recover your gadgets.

If you do not want to reinstall, then you can use another way. You can try SFC or scan now. It helps to regain the lost items. Its a bit quicker then reinstalling. Go  to Control Panel . Just click on programs and features then go to" Turn windows feature on or off" then go to "uncheck windows gadgets platform" and click " ok" I think this might help you.

Thank you for your valuable question.
