How to add free Yahoo! Mail to Microsoft Outlook?

I don’t know if Yahoo! already allows free POP and SMTP access to free Yahoo! Mail accounts owners. Yahoo! does provide free POP and SMTP access but to premium Yahoo! Mail Plus subscribers only.

But you can try setting up your Microsoft Outlook to integrate with your free Yahoo! Mail account.

To setup your free Yahoo! Mail account to forward your email messages to Microsoft Outlook:

1. Login to your Yahoo! Mail account. Once logged in, click Options and then Mail Options.
2. In Mail Options, click Forwarding and then select Access Yahoo! Mail via POP to enable POP forwarding. To save the changes, close the Options tab by hovering over the tab and then click the x that appears.

To configure Microsoft Outlook to access your Yahoo! Mail:

1. For Microsoft Outlook 2003, click Tools and then Email Accounts.
   • Select Add a new email account.
   • Click Next.
   • Check POP3 and then click Next.

1. For Microsoft Outlook 2007, click Tools and then Account Settings.
   • Under Email, click New.
   • Under Add a new Email Account, select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP.
   • Under Add new Email Account, check Manually configure server settings or additional server types.
2. Type your name under Your Name.
3. Type your Yahoo! Mail address under Email Address. This is your full email address, e.g. [email protected].
4. Type localhost under Incoming mail server (POP3). Type 127.0.0.1 if localhost doesn’t work.
5. Type localhost under Outgoing mail server (SMTP). Type 127.0.0.1 if localhost doesn’t work.
6. Under User Name, type your Yahoo! Mail address without the @domain.com. For example, if you have [email protected], type isaac2020.
7. Enter your password under Password and then check Remember password.
8. Click More Settings.
9. Under Outgoing Server tab, check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
10. Click OK and then Next.
11. Click Finish.
