Can I insert comments into a Word document? Where do the comments appear in a Print Layout? In the Normal View and the Outline view I can see the comments in the bottom of the page only. Can I see it side by side in the margin. Please let me know if I can change this?

Hello Abrahamahartman

Yes you can insert comment in word document. Select a portion of text in your document and then click review tab and then click New comment, on right side outside of edit area a section appear in red color, you can write your comment there.

Comments which you add on different portion on document will be visible in the right side of the document in print layout.

Yes, in print layout generally the comments are viewed side by side of the portion of text where you have inserted comment. Please see attached images for your reference.

Yes, you can insert comments in a word document and it will appear side by side in Print Layout. If you are using MS Word 2007, click the “Review” option and then click Track changes. There are three options available in this menu. Select the first one. Now your issue will  resolve.

To view Print Layout click the ‘view’ option from Menu bar and select ‘ Print Layout’ from top right corner
