Groove 2007 issues…, cannot install office 2007 software…

Hello

When i try to setup Microsoft office 2007 enterprise on my pc, unexpectedly the following message comes. Please help me. I want to continue my review because tomorrow will be my final exam and without it i cannot see my teacher’s notes….

Groove 2007 issues…, cannot install office 2007 software…

The error mentioned above clearly states that, when trying to install office 2007 the installer detects that you have a previous version of Microsoft Groove installed on your computer that you have to uninstall in order for the installation to proceed.

To do this follow these steps:

1. Go to Start.
2. Enter Control Panel.
3. Then Add/Remove Programs.
4. Wait for the list to load then search for Microsoft Groove.
5. Uninstall  it.
6. After the setup has finished restart your PC and try installing MS Office 2007 again.

The issue should be solved. If not, then you might have to clean your registry for any left-over registry entries of the above mentioned product. To do that just use a simple little utility called CCleaner, which you can get from here: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard.

When it's done downloading run the setup, follow the on-screen instructions and run the App:

• Once the app has started you will see on the left side column a button on the second row called Registry
• Hit it and on the right a new window will appear
• On the bottom middle of the window there will a button Scan for Issues
• Hit it  and let it scan
• Once it's done hit the right-hand, bottom button that says Fix Selected Issues

You can try two methods to solve this problem. First try using the Keep all previous versions option. To do this:

 

1. Run the Office 2007 setup.

 

2. Click Custom.

 

3. On the Upgrade tab, click Keep all previous versions.

 

 

Another option is to use Remove only the following applications option. Here's how:

 

1. Run the Office 2007 setup.

 

2. Click Custom.

 

3. On the Upgrade tab, click Remove only the following applications.

 

 

4. Uncheck the boxes beside the programs you want to keep.

 

If the problem is still not solved, try changing the directory path during the installation instead of the default ones it automatically provides.
