Grand Theft Auto IV showing error with Windows XP

I have a Windows XP Professional and I was trying to play Grand Theft Auto IV. After about half an hour of playing the game the following message appeared. I tried again and the same thing happened. Could someone tell me how to fix this problem without erasing all my saved data?

This error usually happens when your data2.cab file is corrupted. When the it needs to be read, there is an error and the game can't continue to play All you need to do is to download the game on another website and install it again Hopefully it will fix your problem
