I recently updated my windows8 to windows10. After this when I’m trying to start any Microsoft product, for example, Microsoft Word or Microsoft Powerpoint, this ‘Microsoft error 0x80070426’ is appearing on the screen. How can I fix this error?

This error occurs when you have a non-genuine window installed on your system. You should uninstall Microsoft Security Essentials. It will allow Windows Defender to protect the computer. Follow the given steps-
- Press Windows key and R key simultaneously.
- Type ‘taskmgr’ in the dialog box.
- Click on ‘Run.’
- Right-click on ‘Windows Defender Services.’
- Click on ‘Stop.’
Now, to uninstall Microsoft Security Essentials, follow these steps-
- Type ‘appwiz.cpl’ in the Run dialog box.
- Click on ‘OK.’
- Now, uninstall it.
- Reboot the system.
