Well fellows I am here again with a new Firefox problematic message and this time I have attached the image of the message that appears as a problem for me on the screen.

The operation cannot be completed because the item

“libsmime3.dylib” is in use.

In the attached image below you can see that after the first step of updating some files were being copied from the system and then replaced in the system to improve the browser but during the copy procedure I receive this message that this step of copying could not be completed because a file which name is mentioned in the image is in use and cannot be copied.

Can you please tell me how can copy this file without having any problem.

I think you are doing an upgrade on your Mozilla Firefox when the error appeared.

Maybe when you tried upgrading Mozilla Firefox, when you downloaded the update for Mozilla Firefox, you selected to Run it instead of saving it on your hard drive for manual installation.

You will surely encounter an error when doing that procedure.

Running the installation directly online is common to get errors aside from having download interruptions that can abruptly cut the installation.

Since you already encountered this error, try downloading the update again and this time select Save.

When the download is finished, proceed on the installation to upgrade the application.

If you still encounter the same error again, try restarting the computer and then try again.
