Firefox Portable Edition Already Running Error

I know someone out there might have same error experience in his/her past and I would like that person to share the experience with me so that I can get rid of this error.

Another instance of Firefox is already running. Please close other instances of Firefox before launching Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition (Test).

At the startup screen I run Mozilla Firefox explorer but it didn’t got started and didn’t even show up so I installed the Portable edition of Firefox and then open its .exe file and by that time it gave me this information message that Firefox is already running.

I don’t see any Firefox running then why do I receive the same message again and again please solve this issue for me.

Firefox Portable Edition Already Running Error

When it you received the error message “Another instance of Firefox is already running. Please close other instances of Firefox before launching Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition (Test)” it means that there is probably another Mozilla Firefox running.

Mozilla Firefox is built so that it can multiple windows at the same time therefore the only explanation to the error is that Mozilla Firefox started but somehow crashed.

Firefox portable is used when a system has no Mozilla Firefox installed but is also considered as a Firefox application. Therefore Firefox portable will receive the same error.

A solution I can offer is :

1. 1 press ctrl+alt+del
2. 2 go to task manager(for vista and windows 7)
3. 3 click the processes tab
4. 4 find any Mozilla applications
5. 5 end processes
6. 6 run either Mozilla Firefox or Firefox portable.
