I recently installed an add-on with my Firefox 4. Since then, Firefox 4 crashes. Sometimes,  it would freeze. I am forced to use Chrome ( don't get me wrong.  Chrome is nice.  It's just that  I'm a Firefox 4 fan :))

What add-on did you install? Is it one of those seek toolbars? Those truly create problems. You may uninstall the add-on yet from interact panel? You might try to do a reboot of FF4. Here's how to reboot in safe mode of FF4:
1. Move FF4
2. Dawn on the FF button at the top parcel.
3. Go to provide > restart with add-ons handicapped
4. Stop Ok
5. A window testament pops up with several options, In your case the primo would be selecting: reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults + Refund fail activity engines.
6. Eventually, flick on form changes and continue.
This should do it. If it doesn't, let me Know!
Well if the problem started when you added an add-on, try to have the add-on removed and see if it still gives you any problems. If it still does, try uninstalling the entire Firefox installation and install the latest version.
Some of the Firefox settings and associated files may have been corrupted which results in crashes. If it's still having problems, you can try doing system restore. This should return the settings as well as the system files and program files back to how they were, depending on the restore date.  Just pick a date when Firefox was working ok.
