File missing from Hard disk drive

Today my E: is showing me that I only have one file on it. That was my official documents drive. When I checked E drive properties from my computer its show 20.9 GB used and 30 GB free. I active show hidden and system files from tools menu but it doesn’t work.

How can I fix this problem ?

File missing from Hard disk drive

Something corrupted that drive and you are unable to see your files. If you want to recover them you can find a huge number of tools. I will recommend a few which are mostly used in such situations.

• File Rescue is very good and it can recover your data even if Windows not able to see the drive.
• Runtime is able to recover your data if they are missing after formatting, power cuts or virus attacks.
• The file Restore is simple and easy to use. It will recover all deleted files form your Windows OS.
• And last one is Disk Commander which can recover data in a variety of situations.

I hope your drive is a hard drive.

• Mostly when data gets lost it is due to drive failure. For hard drives, most of them rotate at very high frequency and that may lead to physical damages. Sometimes the corrupted Master Boot record may also be the cause.
• The first thing you require is a data recovery software which will perform a search on your drive to see the possible files that can be recovered.
• Data losses can be as a result of viruses too. Ensure that you run a genuine Antivirus software as soon as you recover your data.
