Feature transfer error on Grand Theft Auto

Hello,

I am trying to access Grand Theft Auto file existing on DVD but I am unable to play this game because of this weird error message. What is feature transfer error? Could you please help me to fix this issue? I would be grateful to you. I am running Win 7 Operating System and meet all the requirements for this amazing game. Thanks for any assistance.

Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

Feature transfer error on Grand Theft Auto

This type of error occurs due to d a lot of scratches  on the disk . This is more obvious "Cyclic redundancy check" it means that there could be some damage on the surface of the disk. I would recommend you to copy the contents of the disk into you Harddisk and then try installing it.

Feature transfer error on Grand Theft Auto

Hey David,

Try re-booting your PC and then installing Grand Theft Auto. If your disk doesn’t have scratches, the possible cause of this error might be your DVD drive. Or you may also try to copy all the contents to your HD then try to install it. Make sure your anti-virus and firewall is turned off (Sometimes anti-viruses blocks some file/data which prevents the program to install).
