When I try to install the Oracle Database 11g in my system, I stuck up with the error message. Installation was not even half way, it failed to go further. I have window XP operating system 64 bit, 1 TB Hard drive. When I hit the continue button, getting lot of error subsequently not able to login. Any files corrupted during installation? Re-installation also seems to get the same error. Help me to solve this problem. Thanks.

Failed to install Oracle Database 11g
I don’t see any problem that will relate it to compatibility issue because your operating system is very much supported. I think your installer for Oracle Database 11g Release 2 is incomplete and you thought the installer was only a single file to download. I think you overlooked the download information in the download page.
The installer for Oracle Database 11g Release 2 is actually divided into two separate files, File 1 and File 2, both 1 GB each in size. So, the total size of your supposed download is around 2 GB that’s why you got a “File not found” error during the installation. Fixing your problem is simply downloading the installers again and make sure the two files are downloaded completely.
Download them from Oracle Database 11g Release 2. In the download page, download both files. See image.
Download both files and unpack them in the same folder. Once both files have been extracted in the folder, you can begin the installation. And also, the files are in ZIP format so you need WinZIP or 7-Zip to unpack them.
