Explanation Of Standard Error And Calculation Of This Error In Survey Fields

The standard error is a statistical term that measures the accuracy of a task, or it displays the estimate of that task. The standard deviations measures the amount of variability of data, but on the other hand, standard error measure’s the accuracy of the data.

The Standard error is calculated with the following steps:

  • Record the data and calculate the average of that data.
  • Calculated the difference between mean and each data. Record the deviations.
  • Square all the resultant deviations and add this together Σ(xi– μ)².
  • Sum the resultant deviation and divide it by (n-1) number.
  • Take the square root now, and this is known as standard deviations.

Divide the standard deviation by the square root of the number of measurements to get the standard error of your estimate.

It can also calculated with the given formula.
