Errors on running DTM V6.0.22.44

I tried using DTM V6.0.22.44 with my Dell Inspiron. I have Windows Vista as my Operating System. The first error message came out the moment I opened DTM. It says, “Rim.Desktop.exe – Bad image. ” When I closed that message I got another message saying: “Rim.Desktop.Autoupdate.exe – Bad image”. I just simple close the error message but I got a new error message saying Rim.Transcoder.exe – Bad image.

And then the error just keeps appearing from the first to the last error messages. I could not find any reason why these messages appeared. I just repeatedly click the close button for so many times until it got tired of showing up. Then DTM worked fine. Please help me with this.

Hello Daniel Hernandez.,

Have a good day. It seems like some installed files are corrupted. All you need to do is to uninstall the programe. And then do a clean installation.

  1. To uninstall go to Start > Programs and Features.
  2. Select that program and click uninstall. Then uninstall completely.
  3. Install the software but make sure the installation pack has no corruption. Maybe the installation file is corrupted.

It's better to download a new/other version if still errors occur.

Hi there Daniel Hernandez,

Looks like some of your files got corrupted, so the easiest way to fix this is to uninstall the software completely and do the fresh install from the scratch.

To uninstall the software use either the application uninstaller placed in your Program Files or uninstall it manually via Control Panel – Programs and Features.

Once you've uninstalled the software search on the developers web page for the newest version of the software, download it and install it.

Best regards,

I usually encounter “Bad image” error on incompatible programs. There are programs that you didn’t know is not compatible with your computer but will install if you try. Then when you run it, the “Bad image” error appears. If you encounter this error, since this error is frequently related to compatibility, check the program’s system requirements and verify that your computer meets those requirements.

If you verify that the program is compatible, try to uninstall and reinstall. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install. Once installed, start Revo then select the affected program among the applications and click “Uninstall.” Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds.

This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then install the program back. If this doesn’t work, try to run as admin. Right-click the program and select “Run as administrator.” If the problem continues, check for an update and install the updated version.
