Error Encountered with PowerDVD 11 BD

I recently upgraded to Power DVD 11 Ultra, but I'm suddenly getting the following error:

This content is only allowed on a digital output. Ensure your display device uses a DVI, HDMI, or Display Port connector. -(Code = 0121)

I used to have Power DVD 9 Ultra and I can play Blue-rays perfectly. Power DVD then informed me that there's an available update so I go right ahead to upgrade it (since I thought it's always better to have the latest version). But then it stopped working.

Is there anyone having the same issues?

Please help me fix it.

Hi Halleleilani2,

It is a conflict between hardware and software. Because the output of HD is not allowed anymore using Analogue D-Sub. All you have to do is downgrade your software or else you have to buy a display with HDCP-complaint, DVI or HDMI connections to solve the problem. You can use system restore to do that.

Make sure the update you make earlier is a valid one I need to say that it supports your operating system and works fine with your hardware. Check the new version system requirements and if these are not supported by your system then restore your Computer to a previous state.

That error probably means the update or the new version you tried to install no longer support your hardware specifications. It seems the new version requires a digital video output which you are not using at the moment. If you are using a standard VGA cable for your display, you need to change your display to any of the mentioned digital output: HDMI, DVI, or DisplayPort.

If this is not an option or your display does not support this connection, uninstall the new version you installed then install the previous version that worked. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install. Once installed, start Revo then select CyberLink PowerDVD 11 among the applications and click “Uninstall.” Follow the normal uninstall process.

When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and click to delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then install CyberLink PowerDVD 9 back.
