While I was downloading a file from a server located on another system, the download failed suddenly giving error code 1012 on the screen. I checked upon the addresses for remote connection and tried again, but it did not work. What should I do?

Error Code 1012 In Windows

Error 1012 occurs when two processes on different systems are having communication i.e. when a service which is available on the remote server is used with RPC (Remote Procedure Call). Here, the request may not be fulfilled if the required service is not available or if the information transmission to the destination system fails. . It is a server related problem. For example if you are using Netflix, you will get a screen as shown below.

Resolving this error is quite a tedious job and involves making changes in the Windows registry. Any mistakes while fixing this error can lead to serious issues like system crash or corruption or loss of data. Thus, it is highly recommended to get this error resolved from an expert instead of using the available tools directly.
