Error 740: Unable to zip a folder

Hi guys!

I use zip file on my pc and when I attempted to do zipping a folder an error report came up.”Error 740: The requested software needs an upgrade.” Does anyone know what I can do to continue zipping my files without errors?

Error 740 is generated due to the user account control setting which stops you doing specific task of your choice because you are a usual user or you can simply say it will not allow normal user to perform administrative tasks.

 

Go right click your folder/icon and select run as administrator. If it will solve your problem then well and good otherwise go to control panel and search UAC (user account control). Action center will open and ask you ‘change User Account Control Setting’. Click it. And scroll down to ‘Never Notify’. This is successfully turn off your 'User Account Control' .
