Error 2 on Quicken Starter Edition 2012

I am trying to install Quicken Starter Edition 2012 to make budgeting easy on my Windows XP computer. The problem is I keep getting an error code 2 during the setup. And then the installation will stop leaving me no choice but to start the installation again. But every time I am starting the setup, the error keeps appearing that’s why I could not continue. How can I resolve this issue?

Error 2 on Quicken Starter Edition 2012

The problem may be caused by the Quicken application not being supported by the operating system that you are using; especially in this case you are trying to install a starter edition. I will therefore suggest that you try the following:

• Instead of the Quicken starter edition, search the internet for the full edition and download it and then install it and see what the response will be.
• You will also need to check the system specifications and make sure that the Quicken application that you are installing meets the system requirements of your computer.
• Also try restarting the computer after closing all the running applications in the task manager and then try reinstalling the application.
