Hi,

I have an IBM ThinkPad which is facing an error code163. During the time of checking the rams the cmos battery wire accidentally pulled out by me. So I have now nothing to fix it. Please give me some tips so that I can solve the problem.

Hi Jettphoenixx,

I suggest you go to www.ibm.com and download the User Manual, and you could also click on "Support and Download" tab and go to "Support home" or "Troubleshoot" tabs and type the product/ model and the error code you wish to fix.  

You could also diagnose the problem by doing these:  Run Configuration/Setup>Battery>System Board.  Just keep pressing F1 key while turning on your PC until you will be directed to the BIOS setup.
