Error 0x8000410F with Exchange 2007

Hello,

I am operating a single Exchange 2007 server. Moreover till last night, we were operating it side by side by an Exchange 2000 box. We deleted the EX2000 this afternoon from construction by moving the final mailboxes and trying to move the routing service to the Exchange 2007 box (even though it's not supported).

Then lastly deleting EX2000 from Add/Remove Programs. All are working very well but when clients are trying to send/receive, they find the following error message:

Task 'Microsoft exchange server' reported error (0x8000410F). 'The operation failed. An object could not be found.'

Within my Exchange 2007 event viewer, we are getting the following errors:

Event Type: Error

Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSExchangeFBPublish
Event Category: General
Event ID: 8207
Date:
Time: 7:42:52 AM

Computer: SERVER

Description:

Error updating public folder with free/busy information on virtual machine SERVER. The error number is 0x80004005.

I am not sure if the error message is associated with Outlook error. The error message is not creating any problems within my settings; users can send/receive without any problems.

When users trying to click "send/receive", only then this error is showed. I think it's more of an irritation than anything. I have been researching this error and the only solutions I have got were for Exchange 2000 or 2003.

Please help. Thanks in advance.

Dear Monica lewis,

According to the error message "The operation failed, An Object couldn't be found" you got when clicking "Send/Receive" button, I think that you need to create a new profile in order to resolve this issue. Please follow these steps:

  • Click "Start" button and go to "Control Panel".
  • Double click on the "Mail" icon.
  • In the "Mail Setup" dialog box, click "Show Profiles".
  • In the "New Profile" dialog box, type the new profile name under "Profile Name" and press "OK".
  • In the "Email Accounts" dialog box, select "Add a new email account" and press "Next".
  • Click the server type that your email account works with and click "Next".
  • Complete the required field and click "More Settings" to complete its fields too and click "Finish".

Hope this may help you.

Best of luck.

1. Did you repeat the PF and confirm that the whole thing is okay? My presumption is that the difficulty emerges only on Cache mode users.

2. Perhaps you have a problem with the OAB:-

3. Attempt the subsequent links:-

4. In Outlook attempt the next:

  • Tools – options – send & receive – choose "Download address book".
