Error 08 when opening Requiem on my computer

Hi! Whenever I open the Requiem or updater.exe on my desktop, it does not successfully open and gives an error, "Error 08:

Failed Open File" this means that the Updater requires elevation (User Account Controls: Administrator) or otherwise is being blocked from modifying files or folders in the Requiem folder (usually by security software or settings on the system.)" I am not sure of what this error means but I need help.

If you could give me a solution to this problem, that would be great. Let me know if you have any solution to this problem.

No, sometimes it doesn’t work that way. I think the reason why you get that error on your screen is because you manually open the file, UPDATERUSA.exe, by double-clicking on that file on its installation folder. If this file belongs to a game or particularly to an online game, maybe it doesn’t work if the game client is currently not running.

Since here, you only double-clicked on the file out of curiosity on what will happen after that, try opening or loading the main file of the game or just open it by double-clicking on its icon on your desktop. After the game client has completely loaded, I’m sure you will find an update button somewhere on the console. Clicking it is just the same as double-clicking on the UPDATERUSA.exe file but this time the only difference is that the game client is up and running.
