Epson 740 Cartridge Leaking In Printer?

Yesterday I put in a new black ink cartridge in my Epson 740. The first time I printed there was a black line of ink. Now there is ink on the rollers getting on the paper. Is this normal for it to be on the rollers? Was the cartridge bad? How can I clean out the printer to print?

Epson 740 Cartridge Leaking In Printer?

Yes, it seems that your cartridge is leaking. When a cartridge leak, the document printed, gets lines and the green beam inside the cartridge gets black lines or spots on it.

 

To solve this problem, you should change the cartridge. Do not try to refill it or something else, it will not work.

 

However, before changing the cartridge, try once to remove the black stains on the green beam with a soft dry cotton and place it inside the cartridge. Now print one document. Check if it's alright. If not, you have no other option than replacing it.
