Encountered error while opening iTunes after upgrade

Hello,

I tried to upgrade iTunes in my Vista PC, and it went well.  But, when I tried to open it, I got this error message (see below).

I tried reinstalling, but I still got the same error message.  I then tried to remove iTunes then re-downloaded iTunes 9 and installed it again.

It was so frustrating because I got the same error message.  What shall I do next?

Any advice on what to do next?

iTunes

Apple Application Support was not found.

Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again.

First download a copy of itunesSetup. exe file in your hard drive from this link https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Download the free trial version of WInRAR and install it.

Now select the itunesSetup. exe and right click to “Extract to itunesSetup”. After the extraction go to that folder you can find the AppleApplicationSupport. msi.

Please double click that to do the installation of Apple Application Support.

If it is installed and you can use iTunes well and good.

Else if you find any problem again it may be because of the Antivirus Program. You have solution for that too. Uninstall the ITunes again and disable the anti-virus program.

After that reinstall the iTunes and by normal way. After installation open it and click Agree. Now you can enable the Anti Virus program and your iTunes also will work now.
