I was installing Norton Go back to my Win XP PC when this error message popped up in my screen (see below).

I searched the web but couldn’t find solution to the problem.  Then, I changed upon this forum and thought that experts would be able to help resolve the issue.  Please help me find or even better to tell me how to solve the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Norton Goback installer information

Error 25008: Norton Goback has detected unsupported partitions on disk #1.

This prevents Norton GoBack from protecting all of the partitions on this drive. Be sure to verify that Norton GoBack is protecting the desired partitions.

Hi,

That error says that you have one unsupported partition on your HDD. So that it can’t install. I recommend installing Norton partition manager first to check all HDD partitions. If there is a corrupted partition or unanticipated space then repair them first. If you have bad sectors in partitions then remove them also.

You can also use Power Quest partition manager to do this job. It is easier than Norton partition manager. It looks like this

can manage your partitions and also repair any damage of partitions. After that you can try to install Norton Goback. This time it will work.

Hi,

The problem in your Norton Goback installer Information is there a detected a partition that unsupported on the disk, and then you just simply verify from the Norton Goback to protect the preferred partitions simply check to it if it’s possible. Attempt or try to install the Error repair tools from your PC, then scan after you install to your PC. After you scan the system simply repair the found error to your application, and then attempt to scan your Operating system to see there an infested file to your application from the viruses and maybe a spyware simply check on that.
