Hi guys,
My post here is about a problem that I meet while using our office inventory application, in the middle of my work I received an error about debug. Please see picture below for your guide.
D3D9 Application
Generic application error. Enable
debug output for detailed information.
This program will now exit.
The error message above is new to me, since this is my first time to encounter such message, in regards to what it suggests about debugging task, I am not familiar with this task, I am now asking for some advice on how to deal with this error message. Do I need to debug? Please do some share on my post, thanks a lot.

This error eventually appears when suddenly you have opened any application that is in conflict in resource usage of that program that is currently running. Technically, if you have a Visual .Net suite installed and you wish to debug the problem, it would normally open either in a Visual Basic or Visual C++ environment displaying their source codes related to that program and that requires real programming talents to do such a thing.
Based on the error message it represents a direct x problem. You can download and install the latest direct x update to get rid of the error message. Another solution would be disabling services and startup items that are less needed in day to day task.Â
To do this, you need to access the System Configuration Utility at the Windows Start button, click Run and type msconfig. Select Services and disable programs conflicting or go to the startup tab simply select disable all to get rid of conflicting programs running.
