I just connected my iPhone to my Mac Operating System to restore some files but it gives me the following error message saying “The iPhone “Dwight Silverman’s iPhone” could not be restored. An internal error occurred”. If you have any idea please share with me. Thanks in advance.
The iPhone “Dwight Silverman’s iPhone” could not be restored. An internal error occurred.
Dwight Silvermans iPhone could not be restored
This is a very common error.
One of the causes of this error is a large amount of users attempting to carry out an update at the same time. This leads to a high amount of traffic trying to access apple servers.
Additionally, you may be blocking Apple's servers from communicating with your host's file. To rectify this do the following:
Open the terminal and type sudo nano/etc/hosts
Delete this line in the host file
22.214.171.124 gs.apple .com
Try the restoration process again by starting iTunes and clicking on the restore and update buttons.
The restoration should take place successfully after this.
