My DVD player on the PC is making a lot of noise. I really don't know that is the cause behind this. Whenever I insert a DVD inside it, it makes noise like a nail is being scratched on a wall. It makes a very shrill noise. How can I fix this problem? I have HP dvd1265 player.

Hi,

I have read your problem and I wanted to let you know that sounds like a nail is being scratched on a wall is due to the optics are no longer working in the DVD player. When the lens or laser of the DVD player fails or it is almost on the verge of failing the DVD drive, this type of sound mainly comes. The solution is that DVD drive need replacement.

Hope this answer will help you a lot.
