Hi guys. I was doing a back up with my Windows 7 PC when I forgotten to shut down my Dreamweaver program. I just closed the Dreamweaver after doing the backup and guess it corrupted a file. When I tried to open Dreamweaver again, I got the same error as the one I posted below. I tried to search for the file but I couldn’t find it. Help please!

Dreamweaver

The following panel layout as missing or could not be read:

C:User AppDataRoamingAdobeDreamweaver CS4en_USConfigurationWorkspaceDesigner.xml

The application will not have a correct Layout Please load one from Windows->Workspace.

Hi

The picture is showing that your system is not working well and the problem might is with your window and if your window is still working properly then the solution of this is:

You have to install the Dreamweaver software again. You have to do this there is no other option how to get back the software after corrupting its software backup so you need to purchase the software and then install the software again there is no such software still which recovers such sort of things.

One thing more you can is that you can update your software to the latest version and check for the update and if the update has available then you must try this option and update your software may it will recover your software backup and your software will working fine but it does not work after doing updating then you need to install this software again and you will have to do this there is no other choice. Hope this will help in sorting your problem.

Hi Ralph,

The best possible measures are as follows:

Solution:

Go to your directory where Adobe was installed.
In my case it is C Drive –
    C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Dreamweaver CS5configurationworkspace
In the "workspace" folder, copy all the XML Files.

Now Go to your "workspace" folder under the Application Data area of your C Drive of your profile
    C:Documents and Settings<userName>Application DataAdobeDreamweaver CS5en_USConfigurationWorkspace

Delete all the xml files in there, and paste in the new ones you copied across from the installation directory.

Done !  Restart Your Dreamweaver and that should fix it !

    *   If still it doesn't work then try to do a Complete clean reinstall.
