I am yet to master Access and for now I am having a rough time drafting a query for an absentee database. For the roster I have a separate table which contains the name, badge number and shift for a certain individual and also one for the absentee logs which contains the occurrence date, the individuals badge number, points gathered reasons and comments. I would also like to include a disciplinary level which has the ability of issuing a disciplinary level as shown;   Level 1 – Oral Warning (2 points within thirty (30) days) • Level 2 – Written Warning (1 point within thirty (30) days of Step 1) • Level 3 – Three (3) Day Suspension (1 point within thirty (30) days of Step 2) • Level 4 – Dismissal (1 point within thirty (30) days of Step 3)This should change to the former level if thirty days have passed without any point taking place. Is there anyone out there familiar with this to assist me ideas on how to do this task?

Hi

You want to do these 3 steps way this can be done by coding in which if you need decimal you can add more rows columns and then you can add anything you want this is the best solution till now and for the 2nd step you have to create the logic how to make rows into columns and columns into rows and this way you will solve your problem and you will find out how to solve this. For the step 1 you need to try this one you should create the logic of how to make the changes in the row that rows and columns cannot be replace each other and you will get through these 3 steps you want and you will solve your problem hope this solution will help you in finding how to resolve the above problem.
