Hey everyone,

I am studying about Furnaces recently. I wanted to know something from the Experts. Does a furnace have a pilot light? If it has a Pilot Light, then how can we light it?

Hello,

The answer to your Question is Yes. The Furnace has a Pilot Light. You can follow these steps to light it.

1) You have to search for the Pilot Line Assembly. It contains a Gas Valve with three options, On, Off, and Pilot Settings.

2) Move the Valve to the “Off” option, and wait for some time.

3) Now, move the Valve to “Pilot Settings.”

4) Press and Hold the Reset Button on the Control Panel. Hold a match near the opening of the Pilot.

5) Switch the Valve to “On” as soon as the Match catches fire.
