The 3PAR is an HP related Operating System and has a logical volume manager that takes care of volume abstraction at the Virtual Volume layer and handles sparing. The 3par showpd is a command inside the 3PAR operating system command line, which looks like this “showpd -c -p –devtype” “disk type (example FC, SSD, NL).”It is used to display all of the disks of the selected type.
