What are the contrasting features of 3D Printers and a 4D Printers? What are the technological concepts surrounding a 3D printer and that of a 4D Printer? Which of these printers are user friendly? Based on these concept want could be the likely projection of technological concept of printing tomorrow? I am Emmanuel from southern part of India.

The distinct features of 3D Printers and 4D Printers

Hello,

Today, printing has gone very far with bless of technology. 3D and 4D are such two sorts of printer. There are differences between them but both of them are cool.

Unless now, the latest, highly-technologized printer is 3D. A 3D design of any object with thousands of layers is created, passed to the printer and the printer prints every single layer and thus, creates any realistic object. Where the old printers would only print one single page, 3D printer is used to print physical objects.

For example, only a single A4 page can’t be bent but if you put 500-1000 pages on a single place, it becomes a 3D object. You can cut the block and make many shapes. But the base of the block is thousands of papers, called layers.

Suppose, you are going to create a ball. You create the design of the ball into specific software, it identifies many layers of the ball and pass to the printer. Only a single A4 page can’t be bent but if you put 500-1000 pages on a single place, it becomes a 3D object.

But the problem is, with a 3D printer, you can create unbendable objects. Scientists are trying to create 4D printers that would work like a 3D printer but able to create realistic objects with precise physical attribute compared to real world. It’s still on development but should come to our hand in a few years.
